Summary Description
This position is responsible for proper titling of new, used, and wholesale units for the dealership. Knowledge of DMV laws along with providing a full range of administrative support is required. Daily work performed under the supervision of the Controller and requires a high degree of accuracy and time management.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures retail transactions are processed in a timely manner.
- Prepares purchase and trade-in documentation.
- Contacts backs to obtain lien releases.
- Prepares tax and title documents.
- Prepares necessary paperwork for submission to the tag agency.
- Ensures the dealer’s tag and title work meets state requirements.
- Prepare and submit all legal transfer documents to the state department of motor vehicles.
- Answer all customer inquiries in a professional manner.
- Maintains a high level of confidentiality.
- Negotiate through complex issues using available resources in the DMV and Dealer Finance Department to achieve a positive customer experience.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Job Requirements
- Customer service background with phone and computer experience.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
- Strong work ethic and willing to give 110% to get the job done correctly.
- Professional demeanor.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of DMV experience required.
- Must be computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, along with general email/internet.
- Experience using various Google Drive applications to include but not limited to Google Sheets and Google Docs a plus.
- Certified or certifiable with CA DMV live scan (if applicable).
- Must be able to multitask and input data with accuracy and efficiency in a high paced environment.
